NCLEX Tips: Learn tips on how to pass the NCLEX examination, as well as frequently asked questions. The NCLEX-RN and NCLEX-PN are very important tests that will allow the new nurse graduate to obtain the proper licensure in his or her state to become a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. This test ensures that the nurse has met the educational and competency requirements as set forth by the state's board of nursing. Before taking this test, nursing students must generally pass all required educational requirements by graduating from an accredited university.
