Senior Semester of Nursing School & it’s Projects So Far | Registered Nurse RN

Hey Everyone,

I hope every one’s week is going good! Are you ready for the weekend yet? I know I am! I’m so ready to be a Registered Nurse RN. Today I had class from 815am-330pm. It was the first day of real classes. Let me tell you….this semester which is my last (thank goodness) is booked with projects. I suppose they are teaching us how to multi-task and be organized because in order to get through this semester you definitely have to be those things which includes having a planner. If it wasn’t for my handy dandy planner I would be absolutely lost. As a nursing student you will figure out that your planners will become your best friend.

What is Senior Semester of Nursing School Like?

I have SO much to do! Here is some stuff I have to do: Population Based community project (where I go out in the community and do something nursing related…like teach a group of people something), take my Senior Exit Exam that is for my university (not related to the HESI…that is a whole different exit exam), attend some professional meetings, study for tests & go to class, renew my stinking CPR, go to HESI reviews, & of course attend clinicals and do an endless list of nursing care plans.

That is just a down and dirty list of the things I have to do….really just those things are just the tip of the iceberg but telling you all what I have to do helps me remember. I do that to Ben….I sit him down and say you don’t even have to listen to me but I have to tell you everything I have coming up lol. He is such a great listener…I love you Ben!

Overall, school is going good! Tomorrow I’m off so I can get all organized and study. Friday I meet with my preceptor to figure out my schedule I will be working…I can’t wait..I’m excited to meet her. So far all of my friends like who they have and are happy with everything which is good. Well I hope every one has a great rest of the week!

Until next time,

Sarah 🙂
