b. False

The answer is a, true. Lateral rotation is also called external rotation. Medial rotation is also called internal rotation.

4. Rotating the head to the left or right is called what?

a. Head flexion

b. Medial rotation of the head

c. Lateral rotation of the head

d. Head extension

The answer is c, lateral rotation of the head to either the left or right. Turning the trunk to either the left or right is also called lateral rotation of the trunk. Rotating the head or trunk toward the anatomical position is called medial rotation.
