Nursing Interview tomorrow | What Should I Wear? Help!!

hi I’m a nurse trying very hard to transition from LTC to a acute care hospital. I have a job interview tomorrow at 10 and have no idea what to wear. I live in Massachusetts and there’s snow on the ground. I don’t have a pants suit. Would it be ok to wear dress pants and a nice top? Also would my sanita clogs be ok or should I go with heels? To top it all off I think I’m getting sick too. Suggestions???

    Nicole,

I think it would definitely be okay to wear dress pants and a nice top. Truthfully, that is always what I have worn to my interviews and got the job on everyone of them. I would go with the Sanita clogs, especially since there is snow where you live and it will be easier walking around in them….glad I don’t have snow here..but atleast you’ll have a white Christmas lol.

As long as you are not wearing some loud in color or very revealing or something totally unprofessional you should be okay. From my experience, how you greet the interviewer is very important because it sets the tone for the interview. Look them straight in the eye, smile, and shake their hand.

Let us know how the interview goes! I know you must be excited. I hope you get the job!

Thanks so much! I despise heels and don’t feel like wearing them in the show and ice. Figures crossed!!!
