Hi my name is Jackia B. I’m interested in becoming a nurse after high school. Are there nursing camps?

Yes, but they may be hard to find because it isn’t a common thing. After I graduated high school, a local university held a “health occupation camp” for graduated seniors during the summer. The students stayed in a dorm for a week and shadowed healthcare professionals. For instance, if you wanted to be a nurse they would have you work with a nurse during that week. It wasn’t really nursing focused but it helped give student an idea about the nursing field.

If you are wanting to see how the nursing profession works I highly suggest you contact the human resource department at your local hospital and see if they have a volunteer program or shadowing program you can do. Also, see if any universities in your area have a program like I was talking about.
