Mexican cornbread is a favorite during dinner time because it’s cornbread with an extraordinary flavor. This cornbread goes great with almost anything! Below are the ingredients and instructions on how to make Mexican Cornbread.
Ingredients for Texas Style Mexican Cornbread:

1 Beaten egg

1 cup of Yellow Corn Meal

1 1/2 teaspoon of baking powder

1/2 teaspoon of salt

1 8 oz can of Cream-style corn

1/2 cup of Milk

2 Tablespoons of Vegetable oil or melted Butter

1 teaspoon of sugar

1 cup of Shredded Cheddar Cheese

2 Tablespoons of Chopped Jalapeno Peppers

1 Tablespoon of Green Chiles
First heat oven to 450’F. Grease an 8-inch square baking pan. In a large bowl, combine all of the ingredients above. Mix them well! Pour mixture into greased pan. Then bake for 25 minutes until gold brown.
Tip-if you stick a toothpick in the middle of the cornbread and when you take it out it comes back clean that means its done. Let the cornbread cool for about 10 minutes. Then ENJOY!
