This recipe is for making Lasagna. This recipe gives you step-by-step instructions on how to make a tasty dish that Italian food lovers absolutely love.

This recipe is very simple to make and is sure to please the family. This is also a great recipe if you want to share with your nursing staff or nursing school students for parties or special occasions. This Lasagna recipe is great to make because not only does it fix a lot of food but it can be easily frozen and reheated to serve again.

Ingredients to Make Cheesy Lasagna:

3/4 lb of Hamburger meat (80-93% Lean) 1 can of Diced tomatoes 3/4 cup of Chopped Onions 2 Tablespoons of Garlic Powder 2 Tablespoons of Cooking Oil 1 (6 ounce) can of Tomato Paste 2 teaspoons of Salt 2 teaspoons of Oregano 1/4 teaspoon of Pepper 12 ounce of Lasagna Noodles 1 cup of Cottage Cheese 2 3/4 cups of Shredded Cheddar Cheese 3/4 Parmesan Cheese

Begin by combining Cooking Oil, Onions, and Garlic Powder together into a large cooking pan and cook this until onions are tender.

Then add uncooked meat and cook this until meat is brown and then add in drained diced tomatoes by mashing them into the meat. Then add in Tomato Paste, Salt, Oregano, and Pepper. Bring all of this to a boil and then simmer for about 2 hours or until the sauce is thick.

Start cooking the Lasagna Noodles when sauce has about 30 minutes left to cook. Cook noodles in salted boiling water for about 15 minutes or until tender.

Then drain and rinse with cool water. Then grease a 9″ x 13″ pan for layering the Lasagna. Arrange about 1/3 of Lasagna Noodles in the bottom of pan that add 1/3 of meat sauce, 1/3 cottage cheese, 1/3 of Cheddar Cheese, and 1/3 of Parmesan Cheese on top of Lasagna Noodles.

Repeat this step twice and bake at 350’F for 40-45 minutes. Then ENJOY!! Served best with- Caesar Salad or House Salad and Garlic Bread
