Bridge Programs for LPN to ADN

I have a question. Since there are bridge programs for ADN to BSN, is there a bridge programs for LPN to ADN? If there is, can you let me know what colleges have it?

If not, is there an ADN program, that would help me continue what I’ve learned in LPN into ADN? I already started a LPN program at quincy college. I’d like to further it into ADN. Thank you.

    Bianca,

Yes, there are LPN to ADN programs out there. I assume since you are going to Quincy you live in MA…right? It is important to note that most LPN to ADN programs require you to work as a LPN for at least 1-3 years before applying to them. These programs allow you to enter the second year of the ADN program which helps save money and time.

Here is a list of programs in MA…not sure how close they are to you since I don’t know how far you want commute or are willing to travel.

Northern Essex Community College (Haverhill, MA)
    Lawrence Memorial/Regis College (Medford, MA)
Mount Wachusett Community College (Gardner, MA)
    Greenfield Community College (Greenfield, MA)
Springfield Technical Community College (Springfield, MA)

I don’t know if you know about the LPN to BSN degree programs but there are many more of those out there and that opens up options. The list above is what I could find…I may be missing some.

Hope this helps! Merry Christmas 🙂

Hi! Thank you for responding! I do live in MA. I’d like to stay in Suffolk County mostly, plus Quincy, West Roxbury, Dedham or even Randolph. I can’t seem to find any programs that’s around my way. I have an Autistic brother and I have to be in he’s area just in case of emergencies. I’d like to stay in the ADN/ASN field for now. You know how money can be tight, and I try to save as best as I can. So let me know soon! Thank You! Merry Christmas also!

Glad I could help. Thanks for letting me know your options. I was actually looking at Quincy College and did you know they have a program for LPNs to get an associates in nursing? It is on their website and it is under the section called: Nursing: Advanced Placement. It is designed for the LPN to become a RN. It does say the program is undergoing revisions but I didn’t know if you knew about it. Here is a link to to:

        https://quincycollege.edu/

If your not interested in Quincy…the only program I could really find in the areas you specified Laboure College in Milton. Here is a link to their website about the LPN to ADN program: http://www.laboure.edu/academic-programs/bachelor-degree/rn-to-bsn

I totally understand about money and wanting to be near your brother. I hope those work out for you 🙂

Hello Again! THANK YOU SO MUCH for pointing that out! I read over the whole website you linked, and yes they do have a program for LPN to become RN. They also have a whole other program for students to become an ADN. I didn’t know that they had a program for specifically ADN, I thought they only have LPN and BSN. I spoke to someone that knew more about the program. Guess what? They have a information session for that specific program coming up soon! They told me it’s never to late, since I just started the LPN. They’ll just switch me over for the next opening for ADN! I’m so excited! I don’t I have to go threw 1/2 years of LPN then bridge over to ADN which is 2 1/2. That would’ve of taken more time plus I can just stay in my school for it! :-). Again Thank you so much, you don’t know how much that helped me! 😀
