Studying for the Exit HESI & NCLEX-RN exam, Check out My Study Log I made!

Hey Everyone,

It’s that time of year again where I am having to studying for my HESI exam. Last spring of 2008 I had to take my mid-curricular HESI exam which I was super stressed out about because at my school you have only 3 times to take it and if you fail it the third time you are put a semester behind and have to take extra classes…which I didn’t want to do. However, luckily I passed it the first try.

My NCLEX Study Strategy

I am going to study for my exit HESI the same way I did my mid-curricular HESI…practice study questions from my
Saunders Comprehensive Review for the NCLEX-RN® Examination review book.

*See disclosure at the end of this post

It is an awesome book and contain thousands of question that comes on a CD. In addition to my Saunder books, I just recently purchased the review book that HESI makes. I purchased it off Amazon.com for about $53.00 shipping and everything. I read the reviews on it and people were saying “just took my exit HESI exam and passed it using this book”, “great book helped me pass my NCLEX”….so I am going to study with this one too. I haven’t got it yet…I ordered it on Monday and it is the holidays so I know how slammed the post office is right now.

To help me and hopefully help you student nurses out there that have to take these wonderful exams…I have made a study log that includes how many days I study, how many question I practice that day, my score, what book I used, and the score I received on the practice questions. Then when it is all said and done I will post what I made on the exam which will probably be in about April or May of 2009 because that is when I take the test (fun, fun).

So CLICK HERE FOR MY EXIT HESI & NCLEX-RN STUDY LOG to see what all I have done so far.  You can also access it on the right hand side of the page posted under the title box “Pages” at any time.

Right now I am off to practice me some study question….OB here I come. I hope every one has a great week!

Sarah 🙂
