A Few Tips for Nursing Students and Nurses…

One of the biggest tips I could offer nursing students is to buy a good NCLEX study guide and start prepping long before the NCLEX exam. Practice questions over and over again, and read the rationales on questions you miss. Also, it can be helpful to review basic concepts in NCLEX review guides before attending lecture classes on that same topic.

While you don’t have to buy a study guide for every class, I’d highly recommend buying them for the most difficult classes. Flashcards are also really helpful for classes like Anatomy and Physiology.

Another tips I can offer is to protect your feet! I learned this the hard way as a nurse while working 12-hour shifts. I’d recommend buying a comfortable pair of shoes, foam inserts, and compression stockings. This will dramatically cut down on the fatigue and pain in your feet and legs. Trust me–it makes a huge difference, and it’s a relatively small investment for your comfort!

Also, don’t forget that Amazon.com often offers a FREE trial for Amazon Student, a program that entitles students to many perks such as free 2-day shipping on thousand of items. (All items above are sold and shipped by Amazon.com).

Thanks so much for your support!
