What Some People Don’t Know about RegisteredNurseRN (YouTube Tips!)

Hello, everyone. We get many questions from viewers about our videos and website, so I’m going to answer some common questions and give you some tips to help you get best experience from our channel.

Where are the Notes and Quizzes?

The links for the corresponding notes and quizzes for our NCLEX review lectures are almost always linked in the description box of the video on YouTube. Just click the “show more” link (pictured below), and you should find links to the video notes and quizzes on our website.

The quizzes are usually available as soon as we publish the video, but it sometimes takes us a couple of days to get the notes up on the website.

Alternatively, you can go to our website (RegisteredNurseRN.com), and type in the search box at the top of the page to find any of our notes, quizzes, or other resources.

Can You Talk Slower (or Faster)?

Sometimes people will ask Nurse Sarah, “Can you talk a little slower (or faster)?” What many people don’t know is that you can actually adjust the speed of videos on YouTube. Here’s how you do it.

First, click that little gear icon at the bottom right corner of the YouTube player.

Next, click the speed option. And finally, adjust the speed to your desired preference.

So, if English isn’t your native language, you might want to slow down the speed so that you can understand it better. Or, if our southern accent is a little too slow for your taste, you can speed things up to make it sound a little faster.

How Can I Find Your Videos?

Instead of scrolling through all of our videos, you can quickly locate the topic you want in one of three ways:

First, you can go to our channel page on YouTube (RegisteredNurseRN), and click the little magnifying glass to search our channel. Type in a keyword such as cardiac, hit enter on your keyboard, and YouTube will pull up results for videos on our channel that match your keyword.

Next, you can go to our website (RegisteredNurseRN.com). The search box at the top searches our website, and the one in the sidebar searches our videos on YouTube. Enter a keyword and hit the search button or hit enter on your keyboard.

Finally, you can go to YouTube’s main search bar, and type our channel name and the keyword you want to search: (RegisteredNurseRN cardiac). This should return results from our channel.

However, before you search for our videos, you want to make sure you have restricted mode set to “off” so that all of our videos will appear. You can adjust this setting at the bottom of your YouTube settings page:

Some universities and libraries will block content that YouTube has placed in restricted mode, which often includes medical content. So if you ever have trouble finding our videos, check our website to see if we have it.

How Can I Get Notifications for New Videos?

There are three ways you can get notified when we release new content.

First, when you subscribe to our YouTube channel, you have to click the bell icon on our channel page to receive notifications. Once you do that, a box should appear, and you can choose how often you want to receive notifications when we post new videos.

In addition, you can follow our social media accounts:

  • Twitter: https://twitter.com/nursesrn
  • Instagram: https://www.instagram.com/registerednursern_com/
  • Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/RegisteredNurseRNs/

We notice that a lot of people share our content on social media. We really appreciate that, and we try to send a shout out back when we can!

Finally, you can join our free email list to get notifications each time we write a new article on our website. Simply scroll to the bottom right corner of our website, and you’ll see a form where you can enter your email.

YouTube also has built-in sharing tools to make it easy to share videos with your friends. Just click the share button under each video, and a window will pop up.

Can I Request a Video?

Absolutely! Feel free to send us your video requests. However, we receive many comments, messages, and video requests, so we can’t respond to all of them. But we always take note of requests we haven’t received before and plan to make as many videos as we can to help you in school and in your career.

Do You Charge Money for Your Videos?

No, the videos that we upload to YouTube do not cost money to watch. If you see someone else uploading our videos on another channel, or if any website charges you a subscription fee to access our free videos, please let us know. Also, if you see other websites ripping off our articles, quizzes, or images, please let us know.

Finally, I’d like to thank all of you for following our channel, recommending our videos and resources, and for sending us such nice feedback. It has been an honor to serve all of you, and we hope to continue to provide you with content that you enjoy and find helpful in your journey through nursing school, NCLEX, and life.

Thanks so much for studying with us!
