College Requirement for HESI A2 Exam! How to prepare? Registered Nurse RN

Here is another ask me a question and it comes from Amy:

“Hello,
I just received notification from a nursing program and have been asked to take the HESI A2 entrance exam. I bought the study guide and a bit nervous about the whole thing.
Any good tips you might have?

First of all congrats on getting into nursing school to get your Registered Nurse RN. First all of you are on the right track for getting the book because I’ve heard that book is a great tool for preparing you for the test.

I think the HESI A2 is like an ACT or SAT. If you did fine on those exams I wouldn’t stress too much about this test. It is basic math, English, grammar…etc. Mostly stuff you should have learned in high school. I think the HESI A2 is the easiest of all of the HESI exams. My advice is to read the book and to do the practice questions it comes with. Be sure you know how to do fractions, ratios, percentages, and conversions.
