Nursing School Interview: Common Questions and How to Prepare

I recently received a question from a visitor who asked about nursing school interviews regarding common questions and answers and how to prepare for them. When applying to nursing school you may be asked to come in for a interview.

This usually makes the future nursing student nervous and anxious because sometimes these interviews are used to determine if you get accepted into nursing school. Here are some common interview questions that may be asked and how to prepare for the interview.

Nursing School Interview Tips

I recently received a similar question a couple of weeks ago about this topic. In the post it has some common interview questions and how to approach an interview. Nursing School Interview.  However, here are some thing you should do to prepare and what are some common questions asked.

How to Prepare for the Interview

So here are some tips: Dress professionally (slacks, below the knee skirts, khakis, blouse), don’t over do the make-up, perfume, or jewelry, no gum, turn off your cell phone, bring a copy of your transcript, a copy of your resume (1 page concentrate on your volunteer work, work history, references, and schooling…GPA.etc).

Arrive about 10-15 minutes before the interview is suppose to start. This will help your nerves and to prevent you from being late, especially if you are the type of person who has problems with keeping on time.

Also a day or two before the interview, have someone like your mom or sibling practice interview questions with you. Treat it like it is a real interview. This will help you develop how you will respond to the interviewers potential questions.
