What are the nursing school vaccine requirements? Before I start nursing school back I have to get a tetanus shot, CPR certification, and a hepatitis B Titer. I can’t believe how fast summer has been going by. Before I know it, I will be back in nursing school and on my way to becoming a Registered Nurse RN. I so can’t wait to go back and get it over. Then no more school….. ever!
However, I have a lot of things to do before it starts back. I need to go and get my yearly TB test and renew my nursing insurance. My nursing school has to have up-to-date medical information before we can even go to our clinical sites. However, it wasn’t as bad as last year because I had to do like a million things since it was my first clinical ever.
Nursing School Requirements
I had to get a physical exam, hepatitis B titer, Tetanus shot, re-certify my CPR card, TB test, get nursing insurance, and fill out a BUNCH of paperwork. So I am happy all I have to do is get a yearly TB test and renew my nursing insurance, and then in February I will need to take another CPR class (fun, but I guess that stuff is all good for me).
The TB test isn’t bad at all. It is just a little sting, and then BAM, it’s over. I will have to go back in two days to see if I had a reaction. Then about the middle of August I will renew my nursing insurance which is about $25.00. However, before that Ben and I are going to take our beach vacation to Myrtle Beach, SC which I am very very excited about.
We haven’t decided when we are going because we are waiting for a long stretch of sunny weather (hate beach vacations when it rains). Check back for pics because I will post them of our vacation. This will probably be the last beach vacation we take for a while because I will graduate next year and we will be house hunting.
Oh yeah….today I bought a Wok. For those of you who don’t know what a Wok is…..it’s a huge looking saute pan that you stir fry in. I bought one because I like to make that Japanese food you get at the restaurants with the shrimp sauce, fried rice, carrots, and mushrooms.
It is amazing! If you like to stir fry I highly recommend getting one. I bought it at Wal-mart for $15.00 and if you take care of them they are suppose to last forever. Check it out below. It is a little stained from where I cooked on it today.
Also….before Ben and I went shopping today we went to the covered bridge. These bridges are awesome and really fun to walk through. They don’t let cars drive on it. I guess because it is so old. Also, there is only a limited amount of these bridges left in the world.
Well I am off to bed! Until next time!
