Hey Everyone,
I received another “ask me a question” and it comes from Tammy and here is what she asked:
“I am a nursing student from the Caribbean who have a few months in nursing school. Regarding the nclex exam…do international nursing students have to be license in their own country to do nclex exam or CGNFS?”
Tammy, thanks for your question. I’m going to be truthful and tell you that I really don’t know much about the rules and regulations for international students regarding the NCLEX. However, one of the women I use to work with use to help international students get set-up to take the test and she said that international students must pass a certain test in their country before they can take the NCLEX. I suppose whatever your country requires you to take would be what you need to pass before you take NCLEX. Then after you pass it successfully you can take NCLEX.
So you should check with the Caribbean board of nursing and see what test you have to take before you take NCLEX.
Thanks for your question Tammy and good luck with getting your Registered Nurse RN!
Sarah 😉
