Getting Into Nursing School with a D Grade
Ja, great question and this question is sort of tough to answer because I’m not sure what your schools requirements are….so I hate to tell you no you can’t get in or yes you will be fine. However, I can tell you from personal experience with my school and how they determine if you can get in based on grades.
At my school, in order to get into the nursing program you have to make a grade of no less than a C in all of your health care classes (which includes AnP). **AnP is short for Anatomy & Physiology. For instances, one of my friends got a C- in our AnP class and she had to retake it (which she only had one extra time to do so) to bring up her grade. So it all depends on your schools requirements.
If I were you I would call your nursing advisor or your college and ask if the D will effect your admission to the program. If it does I would just retake the class and bring up your grade. Just to let you know AnP is a hard class so don’t be too hard on yourself. I can tell you want to be a nurse….so don’t let this grade get you down. When you become a nurse you will not be known as the A, B, C, or D (letter grade) nurse but just as a RN so as long as you pass it is fine.
Good luck with everything and I hope it all works out for you. If you ever have anymore questions don’t hesitate to hit me up!
