What are tips of becoming a new graduate nurse? When do you start?
-Jackia
Thanks Jackia for your question. A new nurse graduate is someone who has graduated from nursing school. The term “new graduate nurse” is used to describe a nurse that has just graduate from nursing school. It takes anywhere from 2 to 4 years to become a nurse, hence a nurse graduate.
In order, to become one you have to attend a nursing program, graduate from it, and pass your state board exam which is called the NCLEX. This is when you can start being a nurse graduate. You start working as a new nurse graduate once you get a nursing position as a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse and have passed your nursing boards.
Here is some more information on how to become a registered nurse and nursing salary information.
I hope that helps.
