Hey Everyone,
I hope every one’s week is starting out with a bang. My week has been pretty good because I am getting these dreadful finals over with. This morning 8 am- 10 am I had a final for my adult class which wasn’t that bad and I feel I did really well on it. Then I came home fixed Ben and I some food….hamburgers & tater-tots. Studied for my next exam which was at 120 pm. This final was for my population-based nursing care class and the test wasn’t hard. It was just like the study questions our teacher gave us and some stuff from our book but it was rather easy. I love that teacher….she is so sweet!
Then I came home….very brain dead at this point (don’t know if I would qualify for the legal definition of brain dead though….lol inside nursing joke). I tried to spend time with Ben but was very sleepy so I took a nap for about 2 hours and I am here typing this posts. Naps are great you know….I always wake up feeling refreshed from them.
I am very excited about Christmas!! My mom said that she is going to have Christmas at her house. I was sort of sad about Thanksgiving because I usually have it with my family but every one was busy and couldn’t have it but for Christmas my family and I are going to get together. I love seeing my grandparents & cousins! I will post pictures after we have our get-together. Guess what we are having…. lol my family is weird (that what Ben’s says anyways about our get-together meals) Mexican theme food such as enchiladas, Mexican rice, chip & dips…etc. Yeah…not your traditional Christmas meal is it??!! But I love Mexican food and since I ate A LOT of turkey for Thanksgiving I am craving that Mexican food.
I hope every one is keeping warm because I’m freezing. I hope we have a white Christmas here in TN….we haven’t had one is a looong time! Good lucks on your finals everyone!
Until next time,
Sarah

I think it’s completely cool that you all are going to have a Mexican themed Christmas! We did that every Christmas when I was growing up…my mom and dad were in Anchorage, AK for a few years (air force) and they meet a couple who taught them how to make a lot of different mexican foods. We used to have enchiladas, tamales, rice, refried beans, etc. We would also have a punch bowl of Sangria with fruit floating in it. It was all very yummy…I think I should resurrect that tradition…thanks for the reminder!
Glad your finals are going well…glad mine are over! lol!! I made A’s in both…shew bobs!
Miss Jenny,
If you have a Mexican themed Christmas you will so have to blog about it and show pictures. I love tamales but have never made them from scratch. That is awesome you have lived in AK…wow. So what are you doing for Christmas?? Off to study some more…. Congrats on those totally awesome grades!!

Sarah,
Saw that you are my newest follower and just wanted to say hi! I love the Mexican food themed idea…looks like you may be starting a trend! I’ve never made tamales from scratch myself. If you come across a good recipe let me know!
Good luck on the rest of your finals!
Hey Kirsten,
Thank you so much for visiting! I love your blog and have been visiting it for a while and seen that I could follow it which would be a lot easier because it pops up in my blogger account. It is good to see another nursing student out there
If I ever find a recipe for tamales I will be sure to give it to you.
