How Long Will You Live? When will you die?-Class Assignment

Hey Everyone,

I hope everyone’s week is going good and smoothly. Here we are getting a LOT of rain off of that Tropical Storm Faye that hit Florida last week. It has rained the whole day today and yesterday. It is just very cloudy and depressing looking outside. However, we do need the rain since we are in a drought. Walking to class has been fun….if you like wet shoes, soaking wet jeans, and a soggy backpack that is. Plus you have to carry around an umbrella and tote the dripping wet thing in class with you. Rain + school= no fun.

I have a class assignment due on Friday for my care of older adults class. We had to visit this website and answer several questions and it was suppose to tell us based on the questions how long we are suppose to live. It is suppose to be one of the best on the internet. After answering all of the questions, my age to live to is 96. WOW that is pretty old! Some of my friends got 91 and 88. I had Ben to take it and it said that he would live until 85. I told him I better pick up some bad habits so I can shave about 11 years off my life so we can die at the same time LOL.

Here is a link to the site, take it and see how long you will live and tell me what you got. I love to know stuff like that lol. Remember I am a nursing student!! Click here for the “WHEN YOU WILL DIE PREDICTOR”.

Today I had my dosage and calculation test and guess what…I passed it YAH!! It wasn’t hard at all! It was basically the practice test that they gave us to study. Also, I got to meet my clinical instructor for my care of adults clinical site. I really like her and she seems really great! I will have clinicals on Tuesday from 6:30am-4:00pm. We will be pulling a big 10 hours! Shew I am going to pass out when I get home because the day before that I have class pretty much all day long.

Tomorrow I am off YAH \o/ I think I will be having every Wednesday off so that is good. Gives me some catch-up time.

Until next time………….

It’s almost August & the Tax Free Holiday (for TN) is coming up!!

Hey Everyone,

Can you believe this month is almost over. I swear it just felt like I was celebrating the fourth of July the other day and BAM its fixing to be August. August is going to be a super busy month for me. I was telling Ben of everything I had to do and he was like “Yep babe that sounds like a lot of stuff!”.  Let’s see this is everything I must do. During sometime between August 1-3, I need to go school shopping and get some things because here in Tennessee we are getting a tax free holiday on everything that ranges from computers, clothes, and school supplies which is awesome because our sales tax is crazy.

After that like I said earlier I have to get a TB skin test which I can handle and renew my nursing insurance. Then during about the second week of August I need to go to the school bookstore and see what all books I need for my classes. I HATE buying my school textbooks because they are so outragerous in price. Get this…. one year for one of my medical surgical books it was about $110. However, I have noticed that the further I get along in my nursing program the cheaper the books get and the less I need of them which I would have thought the opposite.  Then I am going to search the internet for the best deals for my textbooks. Watch out eBay and amazon here I come!! I bet I save over $200 on my books since I buy them off the internet. If you need to save money on your textbooks check out this thing I wrote it has good tips on where to get them.

Then sometime after that I need to renew my driver licenses since it is fixing to expire. A lovely $29.00 down the tube LOL. What stinks is that I can’t renew it online because I have to go to the DMV and show my marriage licenses so they will change my last name. Then school will be starting back the 25th which will take up all my time for the next 9 months. It is like being pregnant lol so when I put it that way it isn’t as bad. Plus after that the 28th is Mister Ben’s birthday. He is going to be the big 26! It is so hard buying for guys. I have no clue what to do for him. Can anyone give me any suggestions on what they do for their men on their birthdays….like a good surprise?? Suggestion will be very appreciated!!

Well until next time……………..
