Hey Everyone,
I’m slowly but surely conquering my “ask me a questions”. Here is a question from a nursing student in CA:
“Hi I was wondering if you know if i can as a 2nd year SN, get a job as a CNA without taking the exam in California?”
It depends on what your state requirements are. I’m sure you could contact the agency you want to work at and ask if you have to still take the CNA exam since you are a nursing student.
I know here where I live in TN you don’t have to take the exam because they feel you have already learned and tested out of that stuff. I think becoming a CNA before you become a nurse is a great way to get experience and get your foot in the door.
Good luck with it!
