I saved a lot of money on my textbooks for nursing school. I was able to buy my textbook mostly online. Regarding clinicals, I am now in the clear for my clinicals with all of my paper work done. I saved some major money on my textbooks which I am very happy about. I went at 10:00 am this morning to get my arm read for my TB skin test and of course it was negative. I didn’t even have a mark on my arm.
After that I went to student services and submitted my paper work on that and made sure they got my insurance fax from my nursing insurance company. Thankfully, they did because I was worried about it because after I made my payment I never heard anything from them and they usually send me my certificate of insurance through email, but they never did.
I contacted customer service and got no response. So I signed up for them to submit a fax to the office and they did. So I am good to go and on my way to becoming a Registered Nurse!
Buying Textbooks for Nursing School
I looked up what textbooks I needed for class and so far I only need two. This is really odd because I usually need two for just one class on top of others. I have been searching online for my textbooks and found the book I needed for my Care of Older Adults class on eBay.com. I have noticed you can save on care plans for nurses textbooks as well.
The book used cost $44.00 & $55.00 new at the bookstore but on eBay I was able to snag up one for only $20.00 and that includes shipping. So I saved $20.00 (YAH YAH 😉 )!! Then when I go back to sell it I will make a profit. I never keep my nursing textbooks like some of my friends do because there is no need to.
They say they keep them for the NCLEX but you can buy NCLEX books that contain all of that information in just one textbook so why keep those expensive environment killing things.
Anywho, I bought the other textbook I needed for class from the bookstore because it is a brand new book and no one has it yet on eBay and everywhere it is the same price. It a neat little book that looks helpful but I will probably sell it after the semester is over, lol.
Afterwards when I got home I rested and made Ben and I some Jambalaya. He can eat it because it is completely dairy and gluten free. I don’t make mine spicy like the original recipe calls for. There are many ways you can make it.
This is everything I put in it: rice, kidney beans, onions, green peppers, squash, zucchini, diced tomatoes, chickens, fresh garlic, & tomato sauce. The squash, zucchini, green peppers, & diced tomatoes were from my garden I made at my mom’s house. Fresh garden food is so much better than the stuff you buy at the store, especially the tomatoes! I love it with Polish Sausage but couldn’t use it this time.
This right now just has chicken, onions, peppers, and kidney beans in it.
I ate mine with garlic bread which just topped everything off. I am glad I made enough to last for two days. I swear that wok I bought is already paying for itself because I am able to cook a lot of food all at once. Until next time………….
