Hey, I just graduated in April and i was going to take my Exam on july 11th, is there any tips you can give me on what to study for. I am studying every day for about 2 hours but i am freaking out. I was wondering what you did to prepare for the exam. Also, was wondering if you took the HESI exam while you were in nursing school.

Hi Sarah, Thank you so much for the advice!!!! I think I spend too much time worrying than studying which I know is not good at all! Hey Griselda,

Thanks for your comment. The NCLEX is big on keeping what is one their test a secret. Plus I had to sign a document saying I wouldn’t tell any one the nature of the exam or the content on it. So I not going to say….I’m sorry…please don’t take any offense. I know people get on forums and do that but I can’t….I’ll be risking my future license. If you study the nclex review books you should be fine….especially Saunders it is a good review book. Sorry again and good luck to you!

Hello Sarah,
I was just curious, did the Nclex include many ‘alternate style’ questions where the correct answer could be more than one? Also, were there a lot of drug questions on the test? I will not take it until next May.

Yeah, I was sweating bullets about NCLEX too! I know just what you mean on feeling prepared, especially when all of your friends are paying $300 to take review classes. It makes you question if your ready. I don’t have my results yet (won’t until Saturday) so I can’t jump the gun and say “no you don’t need those classes because I didn’t do them and I passed”. But if I do pass that will be my response. I studied completely on my own so hopefully it worked. Good luck to you Janice!

Hi my name is Janice…I have just graduated last month and is crapping my pants every time I think about NCLEX. However, I would like to know do you think I can pretty much study on my own by doing just questions???? I was pretty much a B+ student in nursing school, and did well on HESI. I guess I am really nervous because everyone I know is doing Kaplan, but unfortunately I can not afford it right now and do need a bit of guidance!!!
