I have something I wanted to share with all of you who follow this blog on cholinergic urticaria. A couple of months ago my wife & I decided to tryout the online video rental website, Netflix.com. So far we have been really pleased with it. We have the $8.99 a month plan, which allows us to have 1 DVD out at a time, and unlimited online movie watching. They actually have a nice selection of online movies, so it is definitely worth the small price. Plus we average at least 2 videos in the mail per week, so that is an amazing deal compared to renting them online from a place like blockbuster.
Anyways, we have been watching quite a few nature shows recently. We really like those produced by the BBC, and hosted by David Attenborough. He is a great host, and somehow he and his crew always seem to get some great video footage of really rare animals and events.
We have watched many of his series now, include the “Life of Birds,” “Life of Mammals,” and more. The life of birds had one really memorable moment, when he caught this bird on film doing these really neat calls called the Lyre Bird.
I had to share this with you, as I have already made everyone in my family watch it. I checked and luckily enough there were a few videos on youtube.com that had this clip. It is really amazing.
Make sure to watch after the first few seconds, it does some crazy calls and my wife and I were like, “NO WAY!!”
Update: The video was apparently uploaded to YouTube without the proper permission, and the channel has taken it down. Nevertheless, it was cool!
